I'm Lai Senhan from the University of International Business & Economics. Do you know what date is it today? Today is the Olympic Date. I'm so glad to stand here today to share my idea about Beijing Olympic Games together with you all. The title of my speech is: what can we do for Beijing Olympic Games?
First of all, let me tell you a story that happened 2 years ago. At the end of August, 20_, when I decided to come to Beijing for study, my friends hel* * **rewell Party for me. They said: after your graduation, you should look for a job in Beijing, and then in 20_, we shall go to visit you during the Olympic Games. I laughed and answered: OK, no problem!
Time flied and 2 years passed. Now I am a graduate. My teachers and classmates always ask me: what's your plan after your graduation? Go back home, stay in Beijing, or go to some other places? And I always answer: I will stay in Beijing. I make this decision not because of my promise to my friends 2 years ago, but because: I've fallen in love with Beijing! I'm eager to welcome the coming Olympic Games together with my fellow countrymen, and I wish I could do something for the Olympics & for the city.
As we know, Beijing will host the 29th Summer Olympic Games in 20_. As a Chinese, I think many people are thinking: what we can do for Beijing Olympic Games. Most of us are not athletes, we cannot take part in competitions directly; we are not officials either, we don't need to do the preparatory work. We are only ordinary people, what we can do!
There are still so many things we can do! For example, for me, I am a graduate majoring Business English. I have had a lot of teachers in my school who have given me much help in my study. For their help I will never forget them. But today I am going to talk about a special teacher of mine. This teacher is not a human being and its name is“Computer”. It has been teaching me a lot of knowledge and I appreciate it very much.
With the development of modern science and technology, computers are widely used in every teritories [every field](1) including education. How can a computer be my teacher? For example, a CD-ROM disk named “Encarta Encyclopedia” contains 650 MB information including images, graphics, music clips, video clips, animations , texts, hotwords, and database search functions. Fields involved includes physical sciences, performance arts, social sciences, politics, military, education and so on. When pressing a button, I can hear American President Clinton's speech clip. I may enjoy playing all kinds of musical instruments in the world. I can also see the animation of many physical phenomena. This makes physical concept to be understood deeply [ concepts understood better](3). The audio features of multimedia can greatly help me learning [learn] (4) foreign languages. With its speech output capabilities, I'm no longer dependent on an instructor for proper pronunciation.
How can I interact with a computer? There are many ways, including keyboard, mouse pointer, and touch screen. I often use a keyboard. When I press right keys, I can see and hear whatever I want. Information world is at my fingertip. I wish that true speech input-output system would be invented one day.
As teachers, computers have a lot of virtues: They are positive, they have good memories and never lose any information stored in them. They have much knowledge in every field. They can let out all kinds of sounds, and can also improve the efficiency of our study. For example, if I want to, I can skip some chapters so that I can study at my own pace.
Although computers will never take the place of human teachers, they are welcomed by more and more learners. Computers will continue to evolve(发展)with the aid of modern technologies. we've often heard the famous words;“yesterday is history,tomorrow is mistery,but today is a gift,that's why it's called 'present' ”.indeed,rich or poor,every one is endowed with this most precious gift .only by treasuring it and living to our fullest potential in the present,can we project our way forward to a bright and rewarding future.
living at present requires a positive attitude to confront life;it's having the wisdom to spend our life’s resources engaging in the most productive affairs; it's directing our time and energy towards the most efficient way to achieve a promising future! by living at present, we'll have more time and energy to focus on our goals and make a diffference to whatever our current task may be. furthermore,, it's learning from the past instead of unnecessarily carrying heavy burdens from yesterday, and planing our future to wisely prepare for it instead of being impatient or restless . if we drawn, or let ourselves be overcome by yesterday's memories or strong feelings , how can we be observant enough to focus on things going on around us? if we are into dreaming or unnecessary concern for tomorrow,,how can we prepare well for the exciting upcoming future?
that is why living at present is my top concern.
living at present demands the courage to throw away useless encumbrances of the past , to accept what is unchangeable, to change what is chnageable, and to learn from the past which should be a lesson. ,instead of an obstacle.
living at present also requires the wisdom to concentrate on the present ,preparing for the future and courageously displaying the patience to wait for tomorrow.
over a long period of time, taking care of my little brother and making money at university push me too hard ,and i was so exhausted and anxious that i couldn't even sleep though my sleeping time is extremely , i came to realize that i must lay off the mental burdens like worries from the past and concerns for the future and live at present. i need just to realise that i am on my way to my destination.; because i now know, that my top concern is “living at present ”!

在中学英语听说读写四种技能中,“说”的技能至关重要。若把交际能力比作一辆小车,听说读写就是其四个车轮,每个车轮缺一不可,且要保持平衡,车子才能正常运行。同理,“说”与“听读写”之间存在相互作用、相辅相成的关系。一方面,说和写同属产出性技能(productiveskills),说与写存在逻辑序列关系,从说到写是口语向书面与的转换;听和读同属接受性技能(receptiveskills),前者是听觉输入信息,后者是视觉输入信息。另一方面,听和说属于口语(spokenlanguage),读与写属于书面语(writtenlanguage);口语是第一性的(primary)、书面语是第二性的(secondary),在语言教学过程中,一般也遵循听说领先、读写跟上的原则,即便在高中阶段也要关注口语能力的培养,现有教材十分重视编写相关内容。概言之,听说读写语言技能之间存在相互交织、相互促进的作用。口语能力不仅具有语言功能,而且也有情感功能。Krashen(1985)[1]认为,影响外语学习有三种因素:动机、自信与焦虑。动机是推动人们从事某种行为以达到一定目的之动力,学习动机分为外部动机和内部动机,前者来自于外部因素的影响(如教师或同伴等),后者来自内部的动力(需求、兴趣、求知欲、态度等)。自信是自尊感得到满足的一种情感体验,也是学习者对学习能力和学业成绩的信心;自信由自我效能和自敬两个相互关联的成分构成。焦虑是一种变态情绪,表现为焦急、不安和忧虑,它与学业成绩、水平考试成绩、口头和书面表达能力自信心、自尊心之间都存在负相关;外语学习中存在语言焦虑,即指学生因达不到预期的学习目标而产生的自尊心、自信心受挫。从上述调查结果看,高中生缺少自主训练口语,可能与语言焦虑偏高有关。[2]因此,加强口语能力培养,有助于保持从事口语实践的兴趣,增强学习自信,促进持续的学习驱动力。

要提高学生的口语表达能力,在高中英语口语教学中,首先要注重问候语的应用。在每一节课的开始,老师都应该用英语向学生表示问候,这样可以增加师生之间的感情,还可以锻炼学生的口语。学生听的多,自然就会讲,也知道该在怎样的语言环境应用。

在每节课我们都应该留点时间来进行英语自由交谈。自由交谈并不是想说什么就说什么,而是老师给出一个主题,让学生用英语进行交谈,让学生在这些活动中通过交流和合作,锻炼听说的交际能力,英语老师应该利用高中生感兴趣的话题来命题,来激发学生开口说的兴趣。而有些学生不敢开口讲英语,英语老师就应该帮助学生解除思想负担,让他们鼓足勇气,大胆的开口说英语。在活动中,如果发现学生出现语音、语调或语法上的错误,老师不应该立即打断学生来纠正错误,这样是错误的。有些学生的基础差,语音和语调不标准,这让基础差的学生怕开口讲英语,缺乏自信。老师应让学生大胆的讲,讲完了应马上给予口头鼓励,如Wonderful!Good!Well done!等来鼓励学生,让他们拥有成就感,随后在把不足的地方给学生指出来,学生也非常乐意的接受。最后,讲事。在课堂上,每天一位学生讲一个简单的事件。让发生在他周围的事件讲给其它同学听,再让学生复述。
2。3课外活动
高中生正是对什么事情都好奇的年龄,求知欲旺盛,外界的一事一物都会受到吸引,因此,我们应在课堂外应丰富学生的生活,给学生创造语言环境。首先,美国大片的播放。应用多媒体,播放好看的美国大片,在满足他们的跟随潮流的心理,也给学生创造了语言环境。在看电影的同时,大部分学生的注意力几乎会全部集中在电影上,视觉和听觉完全结合起来,会得到意想不到的效果。电影结束后,让学生用英语来表达他们对本部电影的看法,各抒己见,从而听与说得到锻炼。也可以让学生模仿电影中他认为可以的句子。然后,开设英语角。为照顾高一刚进校的学生,也为配合教材的教学,每次英语角都可以大体规定自由交谈的主要话题。例如在Unit 1 Body Language中讲的是肢体语言。教师就可以在英语角讨论肢体语言的重要性,也讨论在不同的国家中,有些相同的肢体语言表达不同的意思。

Everybody is good! I'm from the department of economics . My character lively and cheerful, like make friends, also like to participate in various activities at ordinary times, so have a good interpersonal relationship. In addition, my thinking is more active, often have good creativity and ideas, in particular, I want to be able to join years volunteer association, and everybody working together, planning more rich and colorful activities, and through these activities truly achieve perfect oneself, radiation the purpose of others.

Good afternoon, honorable judges, dear teachers & friends.
I'm Lai Senhan from the University of International Business & Economics. Do you know what date is it today? Today is the Olympic Date. I'm so glad to stand here today to share my idea about Beijing Olympic Games together with you all. The title of my speech is: what can we do for Beijing Olympic Games?
First of all, let me tell you a story that happened 2 years ago. At the end of August, 20_, when I decided to come to Beijing for study, my friends hel* * **rewell Party for me. They said: after your graduation, you should look for a in Beijing, and then in 20_, we shall go to visit you during the Olympic Games. I laughed and answered: OK, no problem!
Time flied and 2 years passed. Now I am a graduate. My teachers and classmates always ask me: what's your plan after your graduation? Go back home, stay in Beijing, or go to some other places? And I always answer: I will stay in Beijing. I make this decision not because of my promise to my friends 2 years ago, but because: I've fallen in love with Beijing! I'm eager to welcome the coming Olympic Games together with my fellow countrymen, and I wish I could do something for the Olympics & for the city.
As we know, Beijing will host the 29th Summer Olympic Games in 20_. As a Chinese, I think many people are thinking: what we can do for Beijing Olympic Games. Most of us are not athletes, we cannot take part in competitions directly; we are not officials either, we don't need to do the preparatory work. We are only ordinary people, what we can do!
There are still so many things we can do! For example, for me, I am a graduate majoring Business English. As far as I am concerned, I will keep on learning English hard, and apply for being a volunteer. I will use English to serve the Games together with other volunteers. And also, as a businessman at that time, I will avail myself of the great commercial opportunities that the Olympics brings to us, make more efforts to offer my contribution to the growth of our national economy.
And for all of us, with the goal to host a _Green Olympics_, we shall plant more trees, grass & flowers. Don't waste water. In order to alleviate the problems of air pollution & traffic congestions, we shall take buses & subways more. With the goal to host a _People's Olympics_, and in order to make our Olympics more attractive and to make our Beijing more beautiful, we shall help everyone we meet who needs help, we shall abide by traffic rules, don't smoke in public and no spitting. The most important way for our Chinese to support our Beijing Olympic Games, in my opinion, is to work hard on our duties.
