1、Teach English in English.英文毕竟是一门语言，训练的是学生的听、说、读、写、译的综合能力，在教学的过程中需要对学生的听、说、读、写、译的能力进行很多的训练，这就要求我们用英文来教英文，在课堂上对学生进行各种能力的训练。
2、Think English in English.用英文想，也就是用英文思考。学英文而不用英文思考，一定学不好。用英文思考就是在用英文进行表达和理解时，没有美国人思考的介入，或者说美国人思考的介入被压缩到了极不明显的程度。这是真正流利、熟练的境界和标志。
3、背诵和多种练习结合。实事求是的说，大量背诵课文与大量多种练习的结合，乃是对于一切各不相同条件下的英文教学的普遍有效的方法。
4、合理利用课外资料，重点题要重点练习、重点讲解，做到主次分明，讲求实效。
5、针对不同的教学内容采用不同的教学方法;。英文的内容较多，包括语音、词汇、语法、交际等等内容，如果对每一项内容都采用同样的方法来进行教育教学，那么即使是再好的学生也不可能学好，再好的教师也不可能教好。因而，针对不同的内容采用不同的教学方法是不可违背的。

I have many friends, but Jim is one of my best friends. He is not handsome,but kind-hearted. We know each other at primary school. He was the tallest inour class at that time. He is good at study and playing basketball, while bad atplaying table tennis. Everytime he has delicious food, he will give it to , whenever I feel sad, he will play with me and comfort me. However, heis not spoilt me.
For example, everytime I meet difficulties in study, I wouldlike to copy his, but no matter what I say, he never give his homework to me tocopy. Instead he teaches how to do it. All in all, no matter what difficulties Imeet, he will help me. It is him make me realize that a friend in need is afriend indeed.
这个学期我继续任教7、8两班。到了初二，学生们或多或少会发生变化，在这个时期学生们没有了初一时的新鲜感和胆怯，没有初三的刻苦与努力，在这个相对平稳的时期，他们会降低对自己的要求，因此一些原来学习习惯不好的同学就会在这个时候掉队，甚至出现放弃的现象。所以针对这个情况，作为老师应该注重引导和促进，注重听说读写的能力训练，另外，要充分调动学习的积极性和主动性，课采取适当的鼓励和评价机制。另外，要注重和学生的情感交流，用老师的真心去打动学生，感化学生。
1.认真钻研教材和课标，精心备课，认真上好每一节课。确定每堂课的基础内容，预备内容和扩展内容，满足不同层次学生的不同要求。
2.充分利用现有的教学设备，加强直观教学，提高课堂效率。
3.在教学中根据目标并结合教学内容，创造性地设计贴近学生实际的教学活动，吸引和组织他们积极参与。学生通过思考、调查、讨论、交流和合作等方式，学习和使用英语，完成学习任务。
4.关注学生的情感，营造宽松、民主、和谐的教学氛围。多与学生沟通，了解学生学习状况和需求，及时改进教学中存在的问题和不足。
5.积极开展丰富多彩的英语活动，提高学生兴趣。如单词接龙比赛，朗读比赛，英语手抄报比赛，学唱英文歌曲，课前五分钟活动等。
6.根据教学内容不同对不同层次的学生进行分层教学。注重个别辅导。在面向全体学生的基础上培优补差。
7.每天要求学生背诵课文的对话或短文，每天记当天学过的单词并在下节课进行听写。每组成立1位组长负责抽查组员的背诵和记单词情况。老师每天进行检查。
8.进行阶段性检测并且进行检测分析。
9.针对学生写作能力差的问题，每周要求学生写一篇英语作文，每周要求学生从课外阅读两篇英语短文，并准备专门的阅读摘抄本，教师定期检查。
10.提高家庭作业设计的艺术。作业设计不能局限在抄写单词短语、课文等项目，要布置有针对性和实用性的任务。
11.不断学习，加强自身素质和业务能力。
