很多律所实习生、新人律师发送的英文邮件，还没点开就给人感觉是非常惨不忍睹。尤其是有的时候，一封邮件经过层层转发和抄送，最后的主题栏很有可能变成“ Re:Cris Escrow Agreement Re:Mack Re:Michalle Re:Director Fw:Re: Reps and Warranties in the Merger Agreement ”。这种标题对于发件人来说是省事了，但是完全不考虑收件人的效率和心情。不仅一眼望过去根本扫不到邮件重点，而且对于涉及到的律师来说，如果想在项目结束很久后再来搜索某一封邮件的内容时，会十分低效。

为避免这种看不到头尾、重点的邮件标题出现，最好的办法是：留下抄送的关键人物或是老板，然后将主题词精简归纳，让人明确邮件说的是什么事就好，不必像项目第一次发邮件时主题写得那么精确。

此外，标题中的大小写问题也十分重要，主题栏的内容最好 Capitalize Each Word（除了 a , and , the , but , by , at , for , in , nor , of , on , so , or , to , up , yet 等）。

eg: Subject Line:Memo on Potential Matters Involving Chinese Law 而非 memo on potential matters involving Chinese law .
