Surrounding you are angels, they are there to guide your path. If weakness overes you, they’ll give you strength if you will ask. They are your protection when life seems too hard to bear, and though you feel alone at times, the angels, they are there…

Since the Eskimos of Cape Dorset began making prints in 1959, their graphics have continuedto delight art lovers around the world. Interest has spread, not only in the south but to Arcticcommunities as well. Currently,four other Eskimo settlements are producing prints.

When one considers the limited means available to these artists, both in obtaining materialsand being exposed to print-making techniques, their success is indeed phenomenal. Graphicimages had been made by Eskimo artists prior to the advent of printmaking in the Arctic,usually in the form of incised figures and designs on ivory carvings, but the idea of reproducingan image many times on paper was totally new. James Houston, then Northern Affairsxxx at Cape Dorset, and himself an artist, guided the Eskimo artists in their firstexperiment, and gradually a cooperative print shop was established.

I do not know who wrote those words, but I have always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want to make it. We can take the mysterious, hazy future and carve out of it anything that we can imagine, just as a sculptor carves a statue from a shapeless stone.
We are all in the position of the farmer. If we plant a good seed, we reap a good harvest. If our seed is poor and full of weeds, we reap a useless crop. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.
I want the future to be better than the past. I don’t want it contaminated by the mistakes and errors with which history is filled. We should all be concerned about the future because that is where we will spend the remainder of our lives.
The past is gone and static. Nothing we can do will change it. The future is before us and dynamic. Everything we do will affect it. Each day brings with it new frontiers, in our homes and in our business, if we only recognize them. We are just at the beginning of the progress in every field of human endeavor.

Time is like a sharp knife.
It can carve hard lines on beautiful faces and wear out youth year after year, but using it well can make a piece of simple stone into a great statue. St. Mary Academy is still a simple piece of white stone briefly carved, but as time marches on, duanwenw,. it may be spoiled by dust, worn out by weather, or broken into separate pieces. It may be also carefully carved by knife into wonderful statues. Everyone at school, including our schoolmates, controls this knife.
If I have a chance to live to be an old woman, I shall, in my peaceful dreams, seek the old paths leading through the trees which I used to travel down in my earlier days. The old bell tower, standing in the golden sunlight, makes a slow, solemn1 sound as girls pour into the church like a stream. What I feel when I hear these words depends on whether I have done anything meaningful over the years. If I have been successful, I will smile with pride and contentment, for I have taken a part, though a very small part, in carving out, with the knife of time, this wonderful model of school life.
Why do you spend your time in sadness? Know that you are the source of all happiness.
Why do you spend your days in fear? Know that your mere sight can make difficulties disappear. Why do you cry and ask for help?
Know that you are the best man for your own help. Why do you feel so weak and helpless? Know that you are, in all sides, matchless. Why do you feel so depressed?
Know that you are the blessed. Why do you feel so stressed? Know that you can have anything at your orders. Why don’t you act on opportunities? Know that you can go through all disasters. In 20xx I had the worst year of my life.

In man transitory life attains its peak of animation, of soul power, so to speak. This does notmean alone would have a soul. Soul quality pervades all beings. But man's soul is most awakein his knowledge of the interchangeability of the term xxxexistencexxx and xxxtransitorinessxxx.
To man time is given like a piece of land, as it were, entrusted to him for faithful tilling; a spacein which to strive incessantly, achieve self-realization, more onward and upward. Yes, with theaid of time, man becomes capable of wresting the immortal from the mortal.
Deep down, I believe - and deem such belief natural to every human soul - that in the universityprime significance must be attributed to this earth of ours. Deep down I believe that creation ofthe universe out of nothingness and of life out of inorganic state ultimately aimed at thecreation of man. I believe that man is meant as a great experiment whose possible failure ofman's own guilt would be paramount to the failure of creation itself.
Whether this belief be true or not, man would be well advised if he behaved as though it were.

It is not easy to think positive thoughts when the world around you appears to be so negative. In fact, it can be as difficult as anything you’ve ever done. Instead of placing a judgement on your situation, apply your most positive purposes to that situation. Instead of seeing the world as negative, see yourself as a powerful agent of the positive possibilities.
If you find yourself giving in to negativity, you are selling yourself short. The moment you feel the slightest pain of a negative thought, stop and remind yourself how powerful you are. Do the intentional work of keeping your thoughts positive. Because whatever you always think is where your life will surely and steadily go.
I recently started a new job, in a small office, where four of us share a fridge. In that fridge is a Brita water filter pitcher. One of my coworkers plained the water tasted xxxdirtyxxx. It went on for a few days, and she was stunned I could drink the water without any trouble. I started to doubt my taste buds, but the water really tasted fine.
Finally, she figured out the problem was actually her cup. She simply forgot to clean it, and after awhile started to affect the water inside it. She cleaned her cup, and drank the water with no problem.
I can't help but think about the world we live in. Too often we quickly blame other people, other things, anything else but ourselves. xxxYou're racistxxx. xxxYou're intolerantxxx. xxxYou're the problemxxx. The world isn't perfect, I know, but I think we should take a step back sometimes and ask ourselves some tough questions.
Can I be better? Is my heart really pure? Can I help this situation with kindness?
I want to tell you this; please clean your cup. Because when you do, the water will taste much better. I promise you this.
Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, they serve some sort of purpose, to teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be - your roommate, neighbor, professor, long lost friend, lover or even a complete stranger who, when you lock eyes with them, you know that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.

Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity - all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, if they be events, illnesses or relationships, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. Safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless.
