Dear Jenny,
How is your survey on mobile payment going? I’m glad I can help with it.
It is generally believed that China is the largest mobile payment market. Nowhere else is the cashless trend more obvious than in China. Most of us are used to paying by scanning QR codes whatever we buy—books, clothes, and electronic devices, to name a few, which is a glimpse into the life of most Chinese like me and my family.
With the widespread use of mobile payment, Wechat or Alipay is the most convenient and safest way to pay. We rarely need to carry a wallet or cash at all. Besides, never will we worry about getting fake notes or having to count change. In short, mobile payment has greatly changed people's life in China.
Personally, I think mobile payment should be encouraged. First, it has won over consumers with its convenience. Another advantage is that there are often discounts if you make mobile payment, as major online payment platforms are competing to have more consumers use their service.
I hope my explanation can be of some help to you. Wish you good luck.
Yours faithfully,
Li Hua
Dear Peter,
I am writing to offer my sincere congratulations to you on your taking first place in the First Chinese Calligraphy Contest for Foreign Students. As your friend, I just want you to know I am more than glad at your success.
“Everything comes to him who waits. For these years, you’ve shown great interest in Chinese calligraphy and kept on practicing it every day. Not only have you referred to many calligraphy books, but also you have consulted some calligraphy masters. Hard work pays off. Eventually, it was through your hard work and talent that you succeeded in winning the championship!
I’m happy about what you have achieved and I hope to exchange with you our experience in learning calligraphy so that we can make progress together. Please tell me when you have time.
Congratulations again.
Yours,
Li Hua
Dear Jack,
I'm glad to hear from you. And now I’m very happy to share something about Chinese tea culture in reply to your last e-mail.
Chinese tea culture started about 4,000 years ago and drinking tea gradually became an amazing tradition. In China, people drink tea almost everywhere and in most of their spare time. Some Chinese believe that tea benefits people’s health a lot. Drinking a cup of tea makes people relaxed and refreshed. Others treat guests or friends to tea drinking in social communication.
Probably, you’ve got a general picture of tea culture after my introduction. Then, how about coming to China to experience it yourself? Maybe, you will fall in love with it.
Yours,
Li Hua

Nowadays, we can see many people are watching their mobile phones in subway, restaurants, elevators, roads and so on. There is no denying that people who like the mobile phone are concerned about its attractive functions. Phubbers can’t stop sending messages, surfing the Internet, listening to music and even taking photos by using the mobile phone. Moreover, some people have less time to relax themselves. They make use of the time when they are on the way to school or other places to play mobile games.
However, phubbing disturbs not only our study but also our life. On the one hand, phubbers waste lots of time playing cell phone games and sending messages, particularly in class. Other people also complain they are disturbed when phones ring in classrooms. On the other hand, it can lead to health problems. For instance, using a mobile phone on the sofa can cause back and neck pain.
As far as I am concerned, it is high time that we threw away the phone and raised our heads up. Do cherish everything around us and appreciate the scenery ahead of us. What’s more, we should do more exercises and take part in real-life activities. In a word, only when we use the phone reasonably, can we realize the happiness of life.

Dear Terry,
This is Li Hua. I am writing this very letter to formally response to your former letter inquiring about local customs in China. And from my perspective, in order to help you behave decently, the following suggestions are supposed to be followed.
First and for most, you are supposed to arrive a bit earlier. Thus, you can join your friend's families to prepare the dinner – you needn't do anything, and just being with them is fair enough. Furthermore, it is advisable for you to bring some small gifts, like a book. Last but not least, please do remember that let the senior be served first.
Hopefully, you could enjoy your meal with your Chinese friend and his families. And please feel free to contact me, if you have any further questions.
Best regards!
Yours,
Li Hua
