The earth moves round the sun,and the moon moves round the earth.When our part of the earth turns to the sun,it is day. When our part of the earth turns away from the sun,it is night.
The sun is bigger than the moon.But sometimes the moon looks bigger than the sun,because it is much nearer to the earth.
The sun is very bright.It gives very strong light.The moon looks quite bright,too,but it doesn't give any light at all.The light from the moon comes from the sun.
The moon looks much bigger and brighter than the other stars.But in fact many stars are much bigger and brighter than the moon.They look smaller than the moon because they are farther away from the earth.
In the vast ocean live many creatures with great intellectual and physical capacities.
Dolphin is one of those great creatures, whose capacities to think and move at an astounding rate puzzle those who study their behaviors, Dolphins possess something that makes them different from all the other sea creatures.
It is not strength or speed but the size of their brains. Dolphin's brain is almost the same size as that found in the human head. They live for a ling time.
Dolphins'babies are born in the water.
They can grow up to three and a half meters long.
Dolopins use sound to help them find their way, look for their food and talk with each other. Sound is just like their eyes and mouths.
I am now a student of Dongzhou Middle School, but I still remember that day when I was in a primary school.
That day, the weather was so bad. When school was over, it began to rain. All of us looked very worried, so our teacher let us go home at once.
When I went out of the school gate, I saw my father standing there. I went to him at once. My father had a raincoat, because he'd just had a meeting and he went to school as soon as the meeting finished, so he had no time to return home. When he saw me, he took his raincoat off and gave it to me.
I didn't want to receive it. He looked at me and said, Take it. I had to put on the raincoat, but my heart was not still. I cried, and I couldn't let myself stop. Since that day, I knew my father loved me. Oh, I can't forget that day all my life.
Nowadays many people like to have dogs as their pets. Dogs are friends of man not only because they are lovely but also because they are faithful to their masters.
Dogs can do a lot of work for man. They play with us. They hunt with us. They keep door for us. But long ago, dogs all over the world were wild.
Dogs can date back to the Stone Age. All dogs have the same ancestor. It is believed that their ancestor was much like a wolf. Other animals, such as the fox, came from this ancestor, too. Hundreds of thousands of years ago, man began to tame wild dogs. After the dogs were tamed, they were trained. The strong dogs became working animals. They were trained to pull heavy loads. They learned to keep an eye on the sheep and other animals. Working dogs had other jobs, too.
Some dogs were not strong. But they could help man hunt for game. Other dogs were best as pets.
Today, there are more than 100 kinds of dogs in the world.
We were sitting in the classroom quietly, waiting for the invigilator. We were anxious to get the examination paper and see whether it was easy or difficult.
The invigilator came into the classroom. He first looked around. Then he counted the papers. We could only hear the papers'fricative. I had a look at my watch.
We would be examined in eight minutes. I felt a bit nervous. I thought to myself,"Will the exam be easy or difficult? Will the last question be very hard for me to work out?"The invigilator began to deliver us the papers. I had been ready. As soon as I got the paper, I began to write quickly.
At this, the invigilator said loudly,"You can't write until the bell rings".I felt sorry for that. I watched the hands of the clock and thought hard. I counted quietly,"four minutes, three minutes, two minutes,thirty seconds, twenty-five seconds""Ding" The bell rang. We picked up our pens and began to write quietly.
What a long time we had been waiting!
When we send a letter or a postcard, we have to put stamps on the envelope or on the card. When did people first begin to use stamps? Who was the first to think of this idea? Here is some information about it.
In the early nineteenth century, people did mot use stamps. They had to pay for the letters or postcards they received. People didn’ t like it. First, it was not convenient. Second, sometimes they had to pay for the letters they didn’t want to receive at all, such as advertisements. Third, the postage was high at that time.
And it was difficult for postmen to collect the postage.
Then one person thought out an idea to solve this problem.
He was Rolland Hill, a schoolmaster in England. He was the first to put forward a proposal to use stamps in 1850s. He thought it would be much more convenient for people. They could go to a nearby post office to buy stamps and put them on the envelopes before they sent letters. The post office could simply put seals on the stamps to prevent them from being used again. That was a good idea and it was accepted by tile government finally.
People often say that the earth is like our mother. She gives life to all the living things on the earth and provides us with air, food, water and other essential things we need for living.
Once she was beautifhl and rich, but now she becomes dirtier and dirtier, poorer and poorer. It is due to what we have done to her. Please have a good look at her: polluted rivers and lakes, growing deserts, the destruction of the forests and wild life, and the depletion of the ozone layer…
Can she bear to see her children putting the waste here and there? Can she bear too see her children cutting down the trees and destroying the grassland, to see the acid rain destroying everything? Can we bear to see our mother suffering so much? Isn' it time for us to ask ourselves whether this is the way to treat our mother?
Floods, draughts, acid rain…,these are the punishments from nature.
Everyone should know that there is only one earth, lfwe go on treating her like this, it won't be fit for us to live in any longer. It's time for us to love her, take good care of her and cure her. We should save the earth so as to save ourselves.
What do you know about the sea? Some people know about it, but others don't. The sea looks beautiful on a fine sunny day, but when there's a strong wind, it's very rough. What else do you know about it?
Of course, the sea is very big. In the world, there is more sea than land.
Do you know Hainan Island? It's really very nice. We can see beaches, trees and the sea. We can swim and visit a lot of beautiful places.
When you swim in the sea, you feel that the water is salty.
At last, I tell you about the Dead Sea. Fish can't live in it, because it's dangerous. This sea is too salty.
The sea is nice, but sometimes it's not good.

Because you are accepting others'help all the time,you should reciprocate them.No matter the friend or enemy, no matter the one that is familiar w-ith or strange one,whether he is a rich man or beggar.Help to be not to choose the target,choose time,choose the place.
Go,make others warm with heart of you ,go,help others with hand of you,go,persuade someone else with your action.This is what you should do.
You should learn to pay,learns help,learn to present.So long as everybody can do so both,this world will be a cradle that is full of loving,the earth is that one is full of warm collectives!
