Last Sunday, I got up early in the morning. After breakfast, I went to the bookstore. I wanted to buy a book.
I couldn't find the bookseller to help me for a long time. I was very happy that I finally got the book. In the afternoon, I visited my friend Wang Lin, who just came back from Beijing.
We talked a lot.

A Picnic
It was a sunnyday. We decided to have a picnicoutside the city. In the morning, we took an early bus to was quite a colorful world. There were green trees, orange leaves and redpeach blossoms. At noon, we reached the picnic place. We sat by theriver bank and took out a lot of things, suchas bread, orange juice, apples, cakes, eggs and so on. All of the studentswere eating. Suddenly, it began to rain. Unluckily, there was no shelter nearby. We had to take a bus to go back home in a hurry.
What an unforgettable picnic it was!

An Unforgettable Lesson
In my life I have experienced many important things. But perhaps the most unforgettable thing which is really worth mentioning is the lesson given by my Chinese teacher just after she had an accident.
One morning just before our Chinese lesson, we were told our Chinese teacher, Miss Liu, had had an accident. One of her legs was badly injured and she couldn’t come to teach us. While we were planning to visit her after school, we also thought that maybe we would be free to do whatever we wanted during our Chinese lesson, and hoped our homework load would be reduced. But to our surprise, shortly after the bell, Miss Liu, with the help of a stick, came to the door of our classroom. With great respect w all stood up and greeted her.
She sat on a chair and began her lesson. She spoke slowly but forcefully. She prepared her lecture quite well and demanded that we do the same. Towards the end of the lesson, we got lots of homework from her.
A good teacher is many things to many people. Everyone has definite ideas about what a good teacher is. In my opinion the teachers who demanded the most from the students are perhaps liked best.
Shanghai will host the 20_ World Expo. The World Expo has a long history but it has never been held in Asia. So the 20_ World Expo is an honor for all of the Asians. Our government has promised that it will be the best one. And Shanghai, as a host city, will have more chances to develop quickly.
As a student in Shanghai, I should learn English well so that I can be a volunteer in the Expo to help foreigners know more about Shanghai.
上海将举办20_年世博会。世博会有着悠久的历史，但从未在亚洲举行。因此，20_年世博会，是对亚洲人的荣誉。我国政府已作出承诺，这将是最好的之一。而上海作为主办城市，将有更多的机会迅速发展。作为一个在上海的学生，我要学好英语，这样我可以成为世博会志愿者，帮助外国人了解上海的。
Shanghai Museum is located in the center of the People's Square.
It covers an area o~ 4，000 square meters. There are so many ancient books， paintings， bronze wares in it. It's just like a huge book to tell you the history of China. People from all over the country like to go there to see huge quantity of antiquities with their own eyes. If you have a chance to go there， you'll have a good time.
