is your opinion about the phenomenon that many people like to plant vegetables by themselves?
It's a very common and healthy way for people to eat vegetables planted by themselves. I think they're mostly based on the considerations that the environment we live in has been polluted heavily and there are severe food security problems in China. People are fearing that they may get sick by eating polluted food outside.
do people like houses attached with garden?
Firstly, I guess it's because people are like rare things as there is a huge population in China and people are mostly live in apartments, it is very seldom for people to live in a house with garden. The second reason I can think of is that nowadays people mostly work among skyscrapers and it'll be very comfortable and released for them to see green stuff back home.
you often go to visit gardens?
No, not really, I think that's probably because there are few gardens in the downtown area.
there any houses or apartments with gardens?
Yes, there are houses with individual gardens and they are mostly in the rural area. As for apartments, usually there is a garden in the middle of the neighborhood.
houses, is there any other types of housing with gardens?
Eh, No, I don’t think so. I only know about apartments and houses
about organic food?
Organic food is very popular nowadays because people today pay more attention on healthy, natural and nutritive food material.
which occasion would people use flowers to decorate in China?
On occasions when people move into a new house or a important guest in coming to pay a visit.
flowers be utilized under other conditions?
When you visit a patient in the hospital or pay respect to the dead in a cemetery.
parks sell tickets?
No, I don't think it's reasonable for parks to sell tickets cause parks are public green space for people who live nearby to walk and get some fresh air. And it's usually constructed and run by government, which means citizens have already paid for it by taxes. So, I don't think it's appropriate for parks to sell tickets. They should be free to the public.
I only watch TV occasionally, but there are still many TV programs that I like. I recently watched a program called 1 versus 100, which is a quiz show presented on Hunan TV channel.
We can easily tell the nature of the program by hearing the name. There will be one challenger versus one hundred opponents at each show. Both the one and the one hundred will be given the same multiple-choice questions. One question is asked at a time, and the one hundred answer first, then it will be the one’s turn. Since the one is alone, during the show he/she is allowed to ask for help three times, including making a phone call, following the majority, or asking the presenter to eliminate one wrong answer.
Each time, some of the one hundred will be eliminated if they get the answer wrong. In the end, if the one answers all the questions correctly, the one will win the game and get a big amount of money as the prize. However, if the one fails, the money will be divided by the remaining opponents. Maybe because of the big prize or the competitive atmosphere, the participants are always very excited.
The reason I like it is that this quiz show asks some simple questions that we are supposed to know but a lot of people actually have never thought about them. For example, one question asked was about the picture on the back of a 50 yuan RMB, but the majority of the one hundred got this simple question wrong. I have seen several shows, but I have never seen the one answered all the questions correctly. I began to wonder that maybe I could enter for the show, too, because I actually knew the answers of a lot of their questions. I think it will be fun if I can try.
1. Part 2
Describe an old person you respect
You should say:
Who he/she is
How you know this person
What kinds of things you like to do together
and explain how you feel about this person
When it comes to the one I respect the most, I’d like to talk about my dear grandfather, a seventy - year - old man.
To be honest, I don’t remember when I knew him, probably the moment when I was born. But I know a lot about him indeed. My grandpa has a very kind smile which always gives me great comfort and encouragement especially when I am depressed. my grandfather teaches me a lot. He often tells me to be brave and dare to bear the responsibility.
In terms of what we’d like to do together, I think it is to turn “waste” into wealth. My grandpa can always find a suitable place for the “junk”. He often teaches me how to give in and put the ^v^junk^v^ in its suitable place. My grandpa has helped me to develop a habit of preserving everything, everything he thinks is useful, everything goes where it should go. Surprisingly, all these ^v^junk^v^ can always find their position and function fairly well(相当好地),holding small things or optimizing my bicycle so that it can operate better……
And another thing is that my grandpa always sits next to me and tells a lot of interesting stories. It seems he always has many stories attracting me. So we are more like a pair of good friends. This is my grandfather, the one I respect the most. I love him.
are the advantages and disadvantages of living in a big city?
Shanghai left a deep impression on me. My parents occasionally allow me to go there with my older cousin. I simply adore the hustle and bustle of the place. I don’t even mind having to wear a mask everywhere. I think it’s cool, and it isn’t weird at all considering that most people do it. I particularly like coming here to shop for presents and trinkets, since you can find something to suit any wallet, age or taste. The old and the new combine on the Yuyuan market to provide the best picture of the local life you can get. It is fascinating, to browse the stores, going both through modern high-end technology hubs, and small wooden houses where generation after generation have practiced the same craft or served the same signature dish since at least a few centuries back. These are one next to the other, making the contrast that much more evident. I sometimes simply enjoy sitting on the side of the street, eating a filled glutinous rice ball and listening to the bits and pieces of different languages that the tourists are flinging enthusiastically at each other. If you ever want to see multiculturalism, this is the place to come to. A couple of days here are more than enough for me to do my shopping, take the odd visit to the Natural History Museum, and enjoy the dishes I particularly like.
kind of people like to live in the countryside?
Living in a big city means you are accessible to all the advanced facilities and infrastructures. But it also means the opportunity to be exposed to the natural environment will be reduced.
problems and benefits are there for families living in a big city?
Those who enjoy live in countryside are those who love natural environment and fresh air.
about the children?
Families in a big city can enjoy the advanced facilities in downtown, and children can have better opportunities for education than children in rural areas. However, the problems is children and their parents get fewer chance to get some fresh air in natural places.
do you like better, the city or the countryside?
I like the city better cause the facilities and infrastructures are more advanced than those in countryside and in cities you can more opportunities to enjoy networking and recreation activities as there are plenty of bars and restaurants.
do people want to go to the city?
Because there are a lot of fancy stuff in the city. Like advanced facilities, interesting places to go with family and friends as well department stores to shop chic clothes.
are the advantages of education in a city?
Children who receive education in the city can access to the best education resources such as good teachers and advanced teaching facilities such as high-tech equipment and well-equipped labs. And they also have more opportunities to participate in various extracurricular activities.
about the transportation system in cities?
Transportation system such as the metro and public buses are very convenient in big cities. Especially metro, like in Shanghai, you can go to anyplace in the city by metro. And another popular public transportation is public bicycle which has been widely promoted in Hangzhou.
there any problems with cities?
Yes, of course. First is the heavy traffic, not only for cars on the roads, but also for people who commutes everyday with public transportations such as the subway. Second is the high cost of living. It really cost one an arm and a leg to purchase a property in city like Shanghai.
Describe a historical building in your country.
You should say:
where it is
when and who you went with
what it is like
and explain why you think you wanted to visit it.
I don’t think you can talk about historical buildings in China without mentioning one of the most recognizable buildings in the world, the Great Wall. It is located in the north of China, with some parts close to the capital, Beijing.
I visited it with my parents and siblings during a summer vacation a few years ago. Unfortunately this is peak season as the weather is glorious and people like to travel during this period, so it was jam-packed. The Great Wall is one of China’s premier tourist attractions and as such is a major draw.
The Wall itself was fantastic. As it is an ancient structure, parts of it are ruined due to the effects of time, but other parts have been reconstructed for tourists in order for them to see how it would have looked, as well as making it safe to climb. When you look out across the hills and mountains, it seems to go on forever, as far as the eyes can see.
I wanted to visit the Great Wall as it is an iconic building in China, no trip to Beijing is complete without a jaunt out to the Wall. As far as I’m concerned it has a timeless quality and I could spend all day walking up and down it. It was voted one of the Seven New Wonders of the World and people say it is visible from space, although this is actually a misconception.
are many music competitions popular in China?
The intriguing melody and appealing lyrics can bring audience into a fabulous world which can get rid of the hustle and bustle of campus or work life in the real life.
2. What kinds of music do you people like?
It depends on the age
3. What kinds of people like traditional music?
It’s hard to say, different people have different tastes towards their favorite type of song, what’s more, i think it is difficult to pinpoint the exact reason for the passion, if i have to say, when it comes to the people who are interested in traditional music, i would say
4. What are the differences between live concert and online concert?
Last year, during the summer, my hometown Quanzhou had its first Apple store, which was located in the city center. The Apple store is on the ground floor of Wanda shopping mall. Since my hometown is a small place where used to be famous for fishing and agriculture, many people in my hometown still have no sense to the smart store's existence has become a unique landmark, which attracts hundreds of locals to visit it everyday.
Of course Apple store sells various kinds of its own brand electronic devices, especially focusing on iPhones,iPads,Macbook laptops, and Apple watches. On the other hand, it provides different fields of service. For example,Genius Bar help customers deal with any possible hardware issues or Workshops help customers learn about Apple devices better in order to maximize the usage of products. In addition,on one side of the store,we can purchase some accessorles.
Personally,I was excited because I am a huge fan of Apple devices it brought to our world and the technology it showed to our society have massive impacts on people's life, not only met our needs but also improved our life quality.
开头段
Most of the countries in the world are led by men, only a few countries are governed by personally think that whether a government or leadership brings violence or peace has nothing to do with the gender of the leader.
It is generally believed that women have a gentler personality than men in the way they does not guarantee that if a woman leads a country or a society, they can prevent conflicts, clash or violence from happening because a leader is not the only party causing or triggering running her government and taking a decision or a policy,a female leader cooperates with and discusses a lot with many other parties so I do not think that her mother figure will come first in dealing with various complicated problems her government is can not give priority to her feminine feeling(caring, loving, affecting, etc)in leader, either female or male, needs to take action in accordance with the is why I believe that the gender of a leader makes no difference in this countries like Bangladesh,India, and Pakistan were governed by female leaders and yet the conflict and violence increased during their time and this is a clear indication that a female leader cannot guarantee a peaceful society.
Moreover, conflicts often happen because of inability or bad leadership skill of a leader in running his or her any country, the incapability of leaders, regardless of their gender, causes many problems leading to the unsatisfactory of people and the decrease in people’s trust level to the government, both of which are likely to result in chaos, clash, and am convinced that everyone will agree that capability and leadership skill have nothing to do with is ridiculous to judge that men have a better capability in leading an organisation than women,or vice success and the failure of an organisation or a government are determined not only by the leader but also the staffs and the matter how capable the leader is,he or she will not be able to execute his or her government programs to bring prosperity for his or her people and to satisfy them if he or she does not have a good team.
In conclusion, the ability of a country to avoid and prevent conflict and violence depends on the capability of the leader, regardless of gender,to run the is not wise to say that men with their masculinity bring violence and none can guarantee that women with their femininity will be able to bring peace for people.
Some people believe commodities that are popular among consumers reflect the power of advertisement rather than the real needs of people. Do you agree or disagree?
Whether we like it or not, advertisement has been pouring into our daily life. They are so powerful that some people believe that it is not the needs of people but the power advertisement that makes commodities popular. Personally I don't agree with this opinion.
First, let's make clear what the real needs of people are. Real needs can be divided into two categories: the material satisfaction and spiritual satisfaction. People tend to regard material satisfaction as real needs and spiritual satisfaction as waste of money and time. This is not true. Some commodities may not be useful but they can give the owner a kind of satisfaction.
Second, let's make clear the reason why advertisement is powerful. The key principle of advertisers is to grasp the needs of consumers, then pass the potential consumers the information that their commodities can meet your need. Advertisers can promote the needs of people, exploit the needs or even produce the needs of people. But whatever they do, it will be based on the needs of people.
But there are some advertisements that exaggerate the functions of the commodities to tell the wrong information to consumers. They make the commodities popular by cheating the majority of consumers. And also there are some commodities that do harm to the health of consumers and to the society. For example, smoking is poisonous, but the advertisements try to make a heroic image of the smokers, as the result smoking is popular among young men who are dreaming to become heroes in women's eyes. But such advertisements are minorities.
In summary, advertisements bring us convenience to choose the commodities that can meet our needs. Most of the commodities are popular due to their usefulness, only some of them are due to the influence of advertisement.
1. How often do you wear a watch?
Well, actually, I wear my watch everyday and I think the watch plays an important role in our daily life. Everyday, I need to use my smart watch not only to check the time and arrange my schedules but also record my daily movements as well as my sleep habits. So, my watch is very important to me, without which it would be impossible to do with time management as well as keeping up with my health.
2. What was your first watch like?
Well, that was an electronic watch. My mother bought it as a gift for my tenth birthday. The watch was golden, and there was a big Mickey mouse on its tail. It was really lovely.
3. What kinds of watches do you like to wear?
Well, actually, I like wearing the mechanical watch. It is widely acknowledge that the mechanical watch doesn't need battery, so there is no such recomsumption I have to pay for this watch. I suppose that it is quite convenient.
4. Do people still wear watches in your country?
Definitely yes, in the current society, people believe that it is very important to be punctual. In order to guarantee that they will never be late for the appointment, people always wear watches in my country. Besides, developments in technology allow people to record their personal health data easily on smart watch. The sales of smart watches is soaring during these years.
You should say
What the song is
What story the song tells
Whether the song is popular
And explain why you think it is interesting
When talking about this topic, the first one that comes to my mind must be Hey Jude. It is a classic song by The Beatles.
It is a song written by Paul. When his friend John divorced, he feared that John’s little son Julian could be upset because of his parents’ marriage. Therefore, he wrote the song to Julian to encourage him to face the difficulties in life and never give up. In some parts of the song, Paul also told some stories between him and his girlfriend. Therefore, at first, many people thought this song was for his girlfriend, and even Julian himself didn’t know this song was written for him.
In terms of the reason why I think this song is interesting, as I mentioned earlier, when I listened to this song for the first time, I thought it was a song for a girl. After my classmate told me the story behind it, I was surprised.
To be honest, at first, I was inspired by this song. I thought this song was trying to tell me that I should love myself even though I faced some problems which made me lose self-esteem. What’s more, this song also shows us the spirit of The Beatles---the world is simple, and we just need love.
A traditional story :Chang’e and Houyi
Chang'e is the Chinese goddess of the moon. The lunar exploration-orbiting spacecraft Chang'e 1 is named after her.
According to legend, Chang'e and her husband Houyi were immortals living in heaven. One day, the ten sons of the Jade Emperor transformed into ten suns, causing the earth to scorch. Having failed to order his sons to stop ruining the earth, the Jade Emperor summoned Houyi for help. Houyi, using his legendary archery skills, shot down nine of the sons, but spared one son to be the sun. The Jade Emperor was obviously not pleased with Houyi's solution to save the earth: nine of his sons were dead. As punishment, the Jade Emperor banished Houyi and Chang'e to live as mere mortals on earth.
Seeing that Chang'e felt extremely miserable over her loss of immortality, Houyi decided to journey on a long, perilous quest to find the pill of immortality so that the couple could be immortals again. At the end of his quest he met the Queen Mother of the West who agreed to give him the pill, but warned him that each person would only need half the pill to become immortal.
Houyi brought the pill home and stored it in a case. He warned Chang'e not to open the case and then left home for a while. Chang'e became too curious: she opened up the case and found the pill just as Houyi was returning home. She either accidentally or purposely swallowed the pill. She started to float into the sky because of the overdose. Chang'e kept on floating until she landed on the moon.
While she became lonely on the moon without her husband, she did have company,a jade rabbit.
Machu Picchu in southern Peru is a very interesting historic place and I have a great interest about his historic place. Though I have not visited this place in person, but I would definitely love to be there someday. I mostly learned about this place from one of my friends who visited there and from TV, internet and newspapers.
Machu Picchu is located in Machupicchu District in southern Peru and it is historically connected with the 15th-century Inca civilization. It is located in 2,430 meters or around 7,970 feet area above the sea level. This place lies on top of a mountain and is a very popular destination for the tourist all around the world. This place is referred as the ^v^Lost city of the Incas^v^ and it was named as one of the 7 wonders of the world in 20_. UNESCO nominated it as a world heritage in the year 1983.
This historic place was built as an estate for the Pachacuti emperor of the Inca civilization in around 1450, and is considered as the most significant and familiar icon of the Inca civilization.
A tourist can see the finest work of the Inca civilization there and can learn many thing about this civilization. Apart from the ruins and cultural icons, one can enjoy the great beauty surrounding this place. The sunset time is awesome and eye witnessing the hills is something unforgettable. The Inca bridge is interesting to hike, and the scattered stones in the place is a different experience one can get. The Condor, Steps , Falling stairs, Temples, Sacred Rock, Llamas and other Animals, Inca Trail will all blow your mind and would remind you that you are visiting one of the 7 wonders of the world.
This is an interesting place due to the vast area and iconic meaning of the Inca civilization. There are a lot to see, a lot to do and enjoy and being at one of the 7 wonders of the world is something a visitor will never forget. This place takes us to the past, in the time when Inca nation were there, and taught us how advanced they were as they have been able to build such a place with virtually no technological advancement of modern technology.
With my sister, my brother and his wife, we four people got back Nanyang by air from Guangzhou yesterday afternoon. We finally finished this trip to Hongkong. Before the trip, I thought it might be better than the trip I had had before, but I didn't expect it to be so terrible.
At first, the manager told us that we would take a coach to Zhengzhou, from where we would take a train to Hongkong, but when we got on the coach they changed their idea. They said that for some reason they had taken us to Hongkong by the coach. From Nangyang to Hongkong, the coach was running for 24 hours that it was really terrible for us.
After sitting on the coach for 24 hours, we arrived to the border of Shenzhen and Hongkong. There were a lot of passengers. We followed the crowd to check into Hongkong until 11 o'clock at night. We stayed at Hongkong only one and half a day but about two-third of time was shopping in stores. Jewelry store, clocks and watches store, gift store and electrical shop and so on. The tour guide constantly changed. There were three guides in one and a half days. One of the guides even bullied us to buy their watches.
In the last day, by the former plan, we should visit Zhuhai for all day and then going back to Nanyang by coach. But in that situation, no one had interesting to visit. We didn’t want to take the coach for 24 hours again. So we decided to leave the passenger group and going home by air from Guangzhou ourselves.
