一、教学目标与要求
通过本单元教学,使学生初步掌握一般将来时态的构成和用法:熟悉这个时态的陈述句式和疑问句式的构成,能口头和书面表达将要发生的事情。能独立完成练习册有关一般将来时态各种形式的练习,正确率不低于70%。继续学习和运用所学语言谈论过去、现在的天气情况,并能运用一般将来时态谈论未来的天气变化。
二、教学重点与难点
1.句型:1)----Will it last long?----Yes, it will./No, it won't. 2)You want to get your TV set back, don't you? 3)Don't say that before you look at the picture. 4)What shall we do then? 5)There will be a strong wind.
2.语法:学习并初步掌握一般将来时的用法。

2.教师事先自己录制一段有关本地区的天气情况报告。鉴于目前广播、电视节目中的英文天气预报还不大适用于初二年级英语教学,所以教师可参考以下短文,自己录制:
Now you are going to hear the weather. It was cold and cloudy yesterday. There was a strong wind. Today is fine and sunny; it's not cold; it's warmer, and it's a beautiful day. Tomorrow will be fine, too. But in the afternoon, it will be windy again.
将以上录音放两遍。然后问学生:
T: What was it? (启发学生猜测,然后用英文告诉学生) It was a weather report.
介绍report一词。然后对刚才的内容提一、两个简短问题。涉及到“tomorrow”的天气情况时,将will/will not的结构介绍给学生。
打开书,借助图片或插图教radio等词。

放这部分录音,学生跟读两遍。

4.合上书。准备放课文第2部分录音。教师板书听前提问 (Pre-listening questions):
1) Where is Wei Hua going? 2)What is she going to do there?
放录音两遍,引导学生回答黑板上的问题。再放录音,学生打开书,跟读两遍。教师讲解本课难句(见难点讲解)。
5.指导学生做练习册习题。
6.布置作业
1)练习朗读本课对话;2)抄写生词及短语;3)完成练习册习题。
四、难点讲解
The radio says the snow will stop later in the day.广播说晚些时候这场雪会停下来。
这是一个宾语从句。本课第1部分中的替换部分也都是宾语从句。由于行文的需要(实际是交际的需要),早在第一册第二十一课中就有了宾语从句。但这项语法内容在第三册第十单元起才陆续总结。教师可根据自己所教学生实际情况去处理。一般讲,只要不影响学生理解,可以不去专门介绍这部分语法。学生接触多了以后,扼要解释一下,有助于学生归纳、小结。

然后教师继续提问:

放录音两遍,然后指导学生回答问题。再放录音,学生打开书跟读一遍。
3.教师给学生一分四十秒时间,读下一段对话(计约60个词),然后指导学生两人一组口头做习题1的问答,当堂核对答案。
4.教师解释对话中的难句(见难点讲解1、2)。
5.挂出中国地图,教授余下表示方向的生词。反复领读,直到学生初步掌握为止。
6.指导学生做练习册其他习题。
7.布置作业

四、难点讲解
1.You want to get your TV set back, don't you?你想把电视机取走,对吗?
这是一个反意疑问句。关于其构成请参阅本书第六十二课难点讲解1。
2.Don't say that before you look at the picture. 看图像之前先别这样说。
Don't say that是一个祈使句的否定形式。祈使句的肯定式前Don't即构成否定式(请参阅本书第三课难点讲解1)。
before you look at the picture是个状语从句,由连词before引导。它在复合句中说明主句动作发生的时间,起状语作用。

四、难点讲解
1.Most of North and South China will have a cold wet day.中国北部和南部的绝大部分地区将要有一个寒冷的阴雨天。
North/South China,华北/华南
most of,绝大部分,绝大多数。例如:
Most of the students in our class like English. 我们班绝大多数同学喜欢英语。
2.There will be a strong wind to the North of the Huai River.淮河以北将有大风天气。
there+be结构的将来时态是:there will be。
to the North of the Huai River在淮河以北。试比较:
Guangzhou is in the south of China. 广州在中国南方。
Ganada is to the north of the USA. 加拿大在美国以北。
3.In the northwest, there will be snow in the night.在西北部,夜间将有雪。
at night和in the nighT:
at night是“在夜间”。一般有两个概念:一是,“整个夜间”;一是,“午夜以前”。请看下面例句:

1.复习值日生报告。
2.教师事先从广播或电视上录制一段英语的天气预报,录音放三遍,学生边听边做练习册75页的习题3,当堂核对答案。
3.组织学生两人一组,练习课文中第1部分对话。交替使用课本提供的替换词。练习前,要确信学生真正明白如何选词填空。可请两位程度稍好的同学做出示范:
S1: I think it will be sunny tomorrow.
S2: I hope you're right. I love sunny days.
或:I hope you're wrong. I don't like sunny days.
S1: I think it will be windy tomorrow.
S2: No, it won't! I think the weather will be much better!
要求学生在练习中慢慢过渡到离开书本进行对话。

6.指导学生做练习册习题。

1)阅读书后所列语法内容;2)抄写复习要点中的词语;3)模仿第七十五课短文,写一个简单的本地区天气预报。
四、难点讲解
一般将来时态
一般将来时表示将要发生的动作或状态。由“助动词will+动词原形”构成,常与表示将来的时间状语连用,如tomorrow, next week等。其否定式的构成是“助动词will+not”;在疑问式中,将助动词will提到句首。主语是第一人称(I或we)时,常用助动词shall。但在日常口语中,所有人称都可以用will。
表示将要发生的事,或计划、打算做某事,可用“to be going to+动词原形”结构。
