　　Ever since the invention of the magic box that sends the picture and sound from a far away place, television has played a crucial role in our life. One could hardly imagine his/her life without television.

　　Television offers much information, means of entertainment and relaxation, and education we need everyday. First of all, we rely on TV to get the on-the-spot news about what happens all over the world. With the help of television, we can enjoy the fabulous wedding ceremonies of the Princes of Britain, the grand and magnificent auguration ceremonies of the Presidents of the US. With TV, we can watch the breath-taking football matches without going to the stadium.Second, TV is a very good method of entertainmet and relaxation by presenting a variety of programmes from films, dramas, TV series, concerts, talk shows and music, etc. After the exhuasting work for a whole, everyone would think it a great pleasure to sit in front of a TV set, watching the wonderful programmes. Last but not the least, TV faciliates us with an impressive alternative of education. Children and adults learn much knowledge in science, technology ,history and our nature by watching programmes in those above-mentioned fields produced by experts. Thus, television has become a daily necessity in our life.
